Lab Today
What did you learn from today's lab? What didn't you like about today's lab?

that water will boil when you heat it ..... umm and that when the heat carries to the other ice it will melt it because it is hot and the ice is cold..... i liked the lab.... it was grand
today i learned that water would boil while heating it at around 90 degrees celsious. I dint like it because it smelled bad. I also learnerd that the temeperature of the ice was around 6 to 10 degrees celcious. I didnt like it when we had to keep seeing how the temperature was changing but other wise I liked it.
Today i learned that ice can turn to liquid and to gas in a very short time. Also that the farther something is from the source of heat the longer it takes to get hot or melt. One thing i didnt like today was that the top beaker had a variety of results like first it was ten then it was 15 then 28 then 10 it was weird. there was no controlled result for the top beaker. But the bottom one had a nice upward slant to it from 10 to 110.
I didn't learn a much that i hadnt already know, but i go to physically see it what we have been talking about in class. I got to see water change from a solid state to a gas state. It was pretty cool.
I learned that the water we used in this lab will boil at 97 degrees. I observed the ice turn go from a solid, to a liquid and into a gas. When the heat melted the ice it turned into water, which is a liquid, and when the temperature of the water got hotter, some of it evaporated turning into a gas. I liked this lab. It was pretty easy and fun.
I learned that ice will melt when it's heated which is obvious but yeah. The heat rose up and melted the ice also. I liked this lab but it was kind of boring cause you basically watched ice melt and water boil.
I learned that Connor and Brandon should not be trusted with timing stuff!! I learned water boils before it reachs 100 degrees celcius. Ice melts kinda fast too!!!
I learned that heat can travel farther than you think. I also learned that you do not touch the HotHands. Also, when you record the temperature of a liquid in a beaker, you should not touch the thermometer to the sides or bottom of the beaker. What did I not like about todays lab? Nothing blew up. I'm over it, but there weren't any extreme chemical reactions to observe. Although, it was still quite joyous. haha
well i obviousally know that when you heat water its gonna boil. But i didnt think that the ice above it would melt too. the heat just carried. i didnt mind the lab.
I learned that water boils at 100 degrees C. i also learned that those orange rubber awesome cool things are called "hot hands". No our labs are always amazing i wouldn't not like it Hix!
umm...i learned that temperature changes alot every 3 minutes and i didnt like the hot hands in the lab because ppl kept playing with them and shoving them in my face.
I learned that heat can go from one place to another and will make it melt. I liked the lab because it really showed how much a temperture could change if you do something to it.
That when you heat up the bottom beaker, it will obviously melt faster than the top one. But the steam from the bottom beaker is also heat and when it floats up it hits the top beaker and the more it does it the more it melts. I really liked this lab ALOT. It was easy and fun to do.
