we cleaned pennies with vinegar and salt. the first time we did it we only put one penny in half way then we put the rest of the pennies in there and left them for 20 minutes. then we took them out and washed half of them with water then we put the nail in the solution. they came out very clean and shiny. it totally rocked my world!

WE ARE THE PENNY-CLEANERS!! We conquer dirty pennies everywhere! What are our weapons? Vinegar and Salt! Yes, this is true. It cleans pennies. Also, it causes a reaction on copper-plated. However, I don't know what the reaction was because my group did not experience any visible reaction.

I LOVED THE LAB! Well We made a NaCl mixture, and put pennies in the formula to see what the reaction is. Turns out they clean the pennies. After that we took 1/2 out and let it air dry and the other half rinsed off and then let it dry. I learned that the reaction makes the rusty color goes away when you mix in the pennies. But then we put in a nail, and it does the exact opposite. It makes the rusty color go on the nail. So it is pretty cool. Now i know how to make pennies clean! WOO!

I learned that vinegar and salt clean pennies very well. I did a project similar to this when I was in elementary school. It was actually pretty fun and I enjoyed it.

Well i learned that the salt and vinigar can cause a chemical reaction. It cleaned the pennies. The nail also had a chemical reaction, but i think it was rusting.

Today, we put pennies an a nail into vinegar and salt. When they came out, they were all clean and polished. We also drew lots of circles and triangles for our element project. It was pretty fun.

In today's lab we cleaned pennies and made them all shiny! They are pretty now! We put them in a salt and vinegar solution to clean them. We also put a nail in there but it didnt get very clean, it looked really sorta wierd.

We cleaned pennys basically. It was pretty cool and so was the nail. Then they came out shinier than before because of the acidity of the vinigar and the reaction it had with the salt.
